The University of Ottawa celebrates 50 years of expertise in official languages and bilingualism
For five decades, academic excellence, innovation and commitment to bilingualism have been part of the University of Ottawa’s vision.
The Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute (OLBI), created in 2007, promotes bilingualism and official languages while creating a dynamic learning environment.
OLBI is a national and international authority in the field of official languages and brings together researchers, teachers, students and experts. Its objective is to strengthen and promote education and research in the fields of teaching, evaluation and language policy design.
OLBI continues in the tradition of the Second Language Institute, which promoted linguistic duality for more than 40 years in the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Arts.
