A tintamarre rings out in New Brunswick and beyond

On the 375th anniversary of Acadia, the Société des Acadiens du Nouveau-Brunswick revives the tintamarre tradition.

This celebration, for which Acadians dress up in costumes and march through their communities making noise, has become an annual event on National Acadian Day, August 15.

The tintamarre is an opportunity to celebrate Acadian pride, joy and solidarity.
