The Association des francophones du Nunavut hosts several sports and cultural events

These include the Partie d’huîtres, which takes place in October.

The Association des francophones du Nunavut, originally known as the Association des francophones de Frobisher Bay, has seen many changes over the years. Today it has a thriving radio station and a newspaper headed by an editorial committee. The Association’s Franco-Centre, with its stage and sound equipment, hosts many socio-cultural gatherings.
