1910

The Association canadienne-française d’Éducation de l’Ontario is founded

The Association is created following a meeting of delegates at the Monument National in Ottawa.

At this historic meeting, which was held from January 18 to 20, 1910, the delegates’ goal was clear: open French-language schools in Ontario!

The Association canadienne-française d’Éducation de l’Ontario became the Association canadienne-française de l’Ontario in 1969 and then the Assemblée de la francophonie de l’Ontario in 2006.
