Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Education creates the French Education Branch

The Branch is responsible for establishing and improving French-language education programs.

The Branch was formerly known as the Bureau de la minorité de la langue officielle.

Its primary role was to develop, test, implement and perfect French-language education programs for the core French program, immersion schools and French-language schools.

Since 2011, the Ministry of Education has been solely responsible for French-language education in Saskatchewan.
