The Office of the Provincial Coordinator of French Language Services is created in Ontario
This office administers the Government of Ontario’s French-language services.
Its first responsibility is to help the government deliver services in French and develop policies and programs that meet the needs of Franco-Ontarians.
In 1985, the Office of the Provincial Coordinator would become the Office of Francophone Affairs.
