New Brunswick’s independent French-language newspaper, Acadie Nouvelle, publishes its first edition

The first copies of the paper are delivered in 1984, and readership is still growing.

The French-language newspaper was born out of the determination of three executives and a vast awareness campaign among business people in the region. Today, Acadie Nouvelle is one of the biggest French media companies in Atlantic Canada. Its mission is to be a first-class source of information for Francophones in New Brunswick.
