La Liberté is first published in Manitoba

La Liberté is founded by Monseigneur Adélard Langevin, Archbishop of St. Boniface.

In 2013, La Liberté celebrated its 100th anniversary. The newspaper was a unifying force for the Franco-Manitoban community and helped to keep French alive and well during the dark days of the Manitoba language crisis.
