In Saskatchewan, a contest is held to choose the Fransaskois flag
The contest is sponsored by the Association jeunesse fransaskoise.
The winning entry was unveiled to the public on May 5, 1979, at the Super Fransaskois Show.
This was Western Canada’s first Francophone flag.
