Franco-Yukonnais newspaper L’Aurore boréale is founded

The bi-monthly publication reports on Yukon’s current events and is the main source of communication within the territory’s French-speaking community.

L’Aurore boréale is a public opinion forum, a meeting place and a source of information for Franco-Yukonnais.

Beginning as a monthly publication in 1983, the newspaper settled into its current twice monthly format in 1999.
