The Commission scolaire francophone du Yukon, the only school board in Yukon, is responsible for French as a first language education throughout the territory.

The Commission scolaire francophone du Yukon (CSFY), the only school board in Yukon, officially opened on July 1, 1996. It is responsible for French as a first language education throughout the territory.

In 2016, after a number of years of conflict, the CSFY and the Yukon government reached an agreement on admission management. As a result of the French as a First Language Instruction Regulation, the CSFY now has control over admissions to its schools.
