Alberta creates the Francophone Secretariat
The provincial government creates the Secretariat in recognition of its French-speaking citizens and its commitment to them.
As the liaison between the Alberta government and Franco-Albertans, the Secretariat represents the needs of the province’s French-speaking community and supports initiatives to promote French language and culture in Alberta.
